Ivalo & Minik Fonden awards grants

The Board of Ivalo & Minik Fonden has at a meeting on 12 September decided to award four grants totaling more than 100,000 danish kroner, which means that the total amount of grants for 2014 is nearly 450,000 danish kroner.

“NunaFonden, Royal Greenland, Royal Arctic Line og GrønlandsBANKENs Erhvervsfond  have donated the money we hand out, so it is very much their merit that we can support the ambitious young people. I would like to thank them for their contribution, “says Minik Rosing, who is president of the board. He continues:

“I hope that the grant recipients will have a good time abroad and that they the subsequent return to Greenland and use the knowledge they have acquired.”

The grant recipients
Aviaaja Birkholm has received a grant for an internship at a maternity clinic in Bali in connection with the completion of her education  as a midwife at Professionshøjskolen Metropol.

Kathrine Naaja Rasmussen has received a scholarship to complete her clinical internship at the University Hospital in Bergen (Norway) in connection with her medical studies at the University of Copenhagen.

Qivioq Kern Kreutzmann has received a grant for an internship at Vator.tv in San Francisco in connection with the fact that she is one of the selected participants in the Danish entrepreneurship program “Entrepreneurs abroad”.

Anna Sørensen has received a grant to a final internship in an international organization or the like in connection with her ​​studies at the Department of Media, Cognition and Communication at the University of Copenhagen

Ivalo & Minik Fonden will of course continue to provide grants. Next deadline is 1 March 2015. The Board looks forward to receive many good applications.
