The deadline for applications is 1 October 2024.

In order to apply for a grant you must have an association with Greenland. This means you have to fulfil one of the following two criteria:

1. You must have lived in Greenland for a minimum of 5 years within the last 10 years.

2. You must be entitled to receive Greenlandic educational grants.  (Ivalo & Minik Fonden knows that Greenlandic students in Denmark currently receive Danish student grants (SU). Greenlandic students in Denmark can of course also apply for our grants. This means you would be entitled to Greenlandic educational grants in Denmark according to the rules that applied before 1 January 2013).

You can apply for support for a further education course or a postgraduate course abroad, including an internship in an international organisation, company or similar.

You do not need to have received a place on a course or internship to apply for this grant. However, Ivalo & Minik Fonden will only pay the grant once we have received a Letter of Intent or similar documentation confirming your place on the relevant course or internship.

To apply for a grant, please complete the application form and attach the following appendices:

– A comprehensive budget

– A recommendation from your current educational institution or workplace

– A motivated letter in which you describe why you have chosen the relevant course or internship. This must be written in English.
