At its most recent board meeting, the Ivalo & Minik Foundation awarded three grants with a total value of just under DKK 200,000. The three recipients will enhance their knowledge and skills through educational stays in Switzerland, Belgium, and the USA.
Chairman of the Ivalo & Minik Foundation, Minik Rosing, is pleased that the foundation once again has the opportunity to support young Greenlanders in pursuing their dreams of studying abroad:
“Each time we award grants, we support young people with remarkable drive and a strong desire to learn. They embark on their journeys with open minds and great dedication and they return home with new knowledge, new perspectives and a strong will to contribute to society. It’s both touching and inspiring to follow their journeys,” he says.
Generous Contributions Make It Possible
The foundation’s ability to support these educational travels is made possible by generous contributions from Royal Greenland, Royal Arctic Line, NunaFonden, and the Greenland Business Foundation of GrønlandsBANKEN’s Business Foundation. Their support is essential to the foundation’s work.
“We are deeply grateful for the collaboration and trust our contributors show us year after year. Their support is not just an investment in each individual grant recipient — it is truly an investment in the future of the entire country,” says Minik Rosing.
The Ivalo & Minik Foundation awards grants twice a year. The next application deadline is October 1, 2025, and the foundation encourages all education-driven Greenlanders planning to study abroad to submit an application.
